Looking for pedestrian-forward neighborhods

Hello,

I’m part of a group in west central Indiana developing a neuro-inclusive neighborhood with appropriate and accessible housing for people with disabilities. We are creating a neighborhood designed for people, not cars with traffic on an outside perimeter road and wide walkways to get to each house.

Can anyone share some examples of some designs? I’d like to give the construction committee lots of ideas to get their creative juices flowing.

Thank you so much!
Kathy

I recommend LED lighting powered by renewable source systems; solar, wind, & water. The wind sourced would likely be better; install a heater triggered by temperature (help from being unnecessarily covered by snow/ice), multilayered barring system lasts longer with sealed grease compartmnet, low [aimed] lighting would provide nonblinding visability, could pair with emergency devices, & brightnesses can be changed (if a feature, or knoweth of such electronics). I strongly discourage timed lights, unless programmed for the Solstices & as accurate as possible; sensors are needeth as maintianed as sol[ar] panels. These lightings could also be adorned, to help make the environment enjoyable/fun. Allowing your community to [anonymously] help would also be beneficial.:love_you_gesture:
