Hi, my name is Pat, and I live in NC near the Charlotte/Lake Norman area. I’m not living in an intentional community yet. There isn’t one in my area, and other than Abingdon Va, I’ve not felt a pull to live anywhere else. I’d welcome a conversation with others in my area interested in starting a cohousing community. So far, it seems the most near my ideal community structure. Blessings to everyone!
Hola Ya’ll. Looking to join a village, community, family host etc that has similar holistik, natural/organik, plant based and spiritual ways. I’m in the northeast usa now and looking around here. Have great permaculture truly natural/organik gardening experience. Was a D1 Multi sport Varsity High Honor Roll student athlete in HS and Engineering Major at University before switching to Sport Management and getting BS. Had multiple office jobs since then but decided that wasn’t for me and have been pursuing this lifestyle for awhile now. Reach out if you would like to chat. here or at adrigol attt netzero . net. Not into BS/HOaxes or liars.
I’m Jenni, mother, initiator, lover, gardener, creator, and space holder.
Together with partner, Autumn, I am raising our 4-year-old daughter, who continues to challenge, question, and open me wide with unconditional love. She is my mirror, and inspires me to be strong and curious, and to live my true nature and purpose.
When I’m not in the garden or retreating in nature, you might find me behind my laptop writing, designing, or working on one of our family businesses… or on community documents, as the case may be.
My core values are Integrity, Respect, Care (for the environment and people), Growth, Creativity, and Abundance. I am good at getting in other people’s shoes, seeing the big picture, and finding solutions. I love co-creating and my ideas are usually too big for just me.
I feel blessed to be co-creating an intentional eco-community, Savali Sanctuary, in New Zealand. Savali is blossoming into something so much wilder and richer than I ever imagined, especially as the small group of co-founders are joined by more people with different ideas, experiences and gifts.
My passion is connecting people, so I’m on here to connect, find supporters and share.

Hello Kathleen.
I am delighted to see you here, I have been a Calgarian and have been connected with Prairie Sky through Bernie Amell.
Currently I’m nomadic, as I research and experiment with intentional community living, especially passionate about the mental health aspects, as a space holder for emotional healing processes, which are what I need regularly to support my growing resilience.
Love, Nicole
Donal I’m also passionate about social technologies. Partly because I’ve seen so many fail, and I really want communities/groups to have processes that WORK.
I’ve been studying and using Torus Technology from Possibility Management and I’m on fire about it since it’s empowering in the ways I’ve been seeking. Will you check out this website and let me know what you think and feel? I’ve been working on a training course and a trainer training.

I’m wanting to shift my Airbnb Host Home, that I’ve been successfully operating in my home for the last 7 yrs., into a HOUSEMATES - Shared Living - Low-Income - Room Rental
Hello IC Community.
You can call me Rich or Richann.
I’m living in west-central Florida, USA.
I’m interested in shifting my Airbnb Host Home into a shared community,
starting first by seeking HOUSEMATES - Shared Living - Low-Income - Room Rental
and eventually learning how to cooperatively creating a straight-up shared self-sustaining community.
I’ve lived with “strangers” and housemates here for 7 yrs. now, successfully for the most part,
but am drawn to as Ash so aptly put it.
Hey Brad,
Are you still doing this? What do you do for food, heat, sleep? What sort of a set up have you got, and do you need a guy paying rent to live with you? I worked for a handyman for a while, so I can probably be of some help fixing things, and I’m happy to help out in any and all farming/hunting/foraging.
I’m an aspiring novelist from San Francisco, and find I have trouble writing in the spirit of the outdoors when I’m living apart from it.
The sort of thing you’re running really interests me. Let me know if you want another man onboard.
Thanks and regards,
Gabe
Hi!
My name is Cheryl and I live in San Luis Obispo County on the Central Coast of California.
Until 2016, I lived in a wonderful IC that was formed in 1903 and was centered around the teachings of the Temple of the People. Most homes in the community are owned by the Temple and provided through 99 year property leases. Once you decide to leave the IC, your dwelling returns to the Temple. Some homes are privately owned, including the land, and remain with the homeowner. I was a homeowner but with deep sadness, I had to leave because of divorce.
I loved living in the community, neighbors were friendly and welcoming and there were many shared meals and wonderful friendships made. The land was surrounded by commercial farmland which offered many opportunities for gleaning, and a farm stand for purchasing produce. There were a few jobs within the community that supported the teachings of the Temple but most community members worked outside the community.
I’m searching to recreate this feeling of belonging again. After traveling through most of the United States I know that I enjoy open skies to see the stars, sunrises and sunsets versus heavily forested areas. I also seek good growing weather and sunshine in order to grow beautiful food.
I have skills in farming food crops, saving seed, preserving the harvest through canning and drying, integrated pest management through companion planting, irrigation systems, and creating beautiful soil through compost/vermiculture/biochar.
I am very social and would love to create agritourism short-term stays like glamping or other alternative structures for people drawn to the land for quiet rebalancing or education.
Looking forward to belonging to this forum and sharing ideas. Thanks for listening to my story.
hello, This is my introduction, I am Steffin, I have pristine land in eastern Oregon, I am part of the traveler and rainbow community … I want to start epic movements… I just got a Mac book… been off grid 9 years… now I’m back. want to offer what I found to others.

Hi Pat! I lived in Myers Park and walked to my job in Uptown Charlotte every day. I had to get use to saying Uptown which took a while. Coming from Tucson, AZ; experiencing the beauty of fall and spring in NC brought me to tears more than once. One of the memories that will stay with me forever was a day in the fall, while walking to work the trees were dropping their fall-colored leaves all around me as I walked. I’ve never witnesses anything more beautiful in my life.
Hi my name is Erik I do not currently live in an IC. I’m very interested in growing food and I hope to end up in a community or be part of the creation of one in a tropical climate where it is less difficult to live completely off the land. my ideal community would be one that is completely free from the influence of mainstream society or as free from it as possible. I am very committed to living healthfully and believe real medicine comes from nature therefore I do not consume any pharmaceutical substances in any form and I don’t believe restricting my breathing is healthy either. I am very into fruit but also eat cooked plant based foods though I would like to eat more raw food In the future. I’m very spiritual but don’t consider myself a follower of any particular religion. I believe it is beneficial to live in tribes with connection to others rather than living divided but the right balance of community and personal space and time is very important. I also play a healing instrument similar to a hand pan.
Looking forward to connecting with others!
Hi Cheryl, Very nice to get a message from someone near where I live. Are you still living in Charlotte NC?
Blessings, Patricia M Melchor Landline: 704-664-2054
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough & more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, and a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace to today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Melody Beattie
Hi Cheryl Ann, Thank you for your message. Do you still live in the Charlotte NC area? Maybe we can grab a coffee/tea at some point in the future, get to know each other a little better, and talk about Intentional Communities!
