Hello Everyone!
We just wanted to announce that we have a few membership openings. We are currently looking for new local members to help us build our community. We have a well planned vision in place, though, of course we are still open to change and new ideas.
Next phase we plan to buy/lease a piece of land in Oregon and see this happening within a year or two, we’re certainly getting very close! In the meantime, we are holding events 2-3 times per month. We’re hosting at festivals and offering yoga classes and cocoa ceremonies at large local events and soon hoping to start our very own festival - The NW Mother Earth Gathering (placeholder name) with live music, DJ’s, art installments and community activities, ideally a 2-3 day camping style event.
While waiting until the ideal land opportunity becomes available, we are also supporting one another in building successful businesses that will help us fund the community and offer work opportunities to all members. We currently have a successful and well established general contracting business as well as an award winning soil testing company. We are slowly building some member owned art/craft based businesses as well. We eventually intend to pour a large effort into building an agriculturally based community owned farm business.
One of our biggest goals when looking into the future is the Peaceful Valley Trust Company (PVT). Our future trust company, with the help of original land owners whom wish to preserve or donate their land, we will establish long-term beneficial land use goals for the properties before transferring or long-term leasing to PVT. We will utilize the community owned businesses, such as this trust company, our property maintenance business and construction business, to hold land for others in a trust while maintaining them for beneficial or preservative use. We intend to hold land from those who wish to share with community or preserve the land for mother nature, with the possibility of building and maintaining trails, community camping areas, barns, ponds, farmland and much more. This land held by PVT will be managed in such a way to help preserve mother nature or in some cases transition land to a communal or public land use that can be enjoyed for generations to come, always maintaining the original agreed upon vision of the owners.
While we continue to build our village, we are looking for those who wish to join in any part of the process, ranging from artisans, craftsmen, or those looking to simply be a village member all the way to administrational or business oriented persons. We have room for tons of great minds, so, now for the hard part - coming together and building relationships!
If any of this sounds nice to you, at the least just reach out and get to know us, please don’t be shy! If you’re in the area, come to an event. You have nothing to lose, please try and get to know us!
