Hai, I am all new to this site and living in a community. I am a 56 year old Dutch native living and working in The Nederlands. I teach at a university for applied sciences and i work as a freelance communications trainer. I am looking for a new turn in my life and am considering possibilities. Some how living in a community has appealed to me for a long time so i would want to take time to explore this. Can someone explain to me how this works? Suppose I would like to join a community in the US, what would i have to do as a non-US citizen.
I would be grateful if someone would help me understand this concept. Thank you!
I know next to nothing about your question. But, as a guess. I would think you might want to start by visiting your closest U.S. Embassy. Ask about travel visa’s, ask about work visa’s, ask about applying for U.S. citizenship, ask how long you can stay in the U.S. under those various conditions. I would do everything very legal and get the appropriate documents to support whatever you are doing. The U.S. is a wonderful place to visit and to work. But you need to do either, legally. ~~Probably at the same time, you might post to the various groups to visit when you get here. I.C. is good. Permies.com quite good. wwoofusa.org very good. There are more. Look.
