Sunflower River queer pagan intentional community in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has a bedroom in one of our houses available for rent. Ideally, the person who comes in will also be interested in participating in the community as well! We are a 4-person commuity founded in 2007, on a 4-acre farm just south of the city. We are queer and pagan, and would be very interested in welcoming someone who is well-aligned with that as well as with our values.
Our vision statement is:
Sunflower River is joyfully creating a sanctuary, wherein we embody and promote sustainability, spirituality, adaptability, and safety, for ourselves, our community, our land, and Gaia.
The room is a clean, quiet bedroom with large closet, in a house shared with two other people, both of which have external bedrooms (a yurt and and RV, respectively), and share the kitchen, bath, and livingroom/library. One of these folks works from home at a home-office in the library a couple days a week. An elderly cat also shares the space; additional cats are welcome. Room is $650/month all utilities including internet paid. Currently the room has a bed and end table; these can be left for you or removed as needed. Whether or not you elect to join the community in full, you would have access to the community house (which includes on-site laundry and off-street parking behind a property wall & automatic gates), the land (4 acres of gardens, fields, goats & chickens, and some protected wildlife habitat with seating areas), hottub, semi-rural living merely 20 minutes from downtown, easy access to I-25 and to public transit, and all other benefits of living at Sunflower River. Available immediately; we need to have this space filled by December 1st; earlier is great.
Please feel free to reach out to Kat directly at yarrow@sunflowerriver.org if you are interested!
