I live in a western suburb of Chicago but would prefer to live in a more rural area. I had a very long severe depression, which lifted 18 years ago after I switched to an all-organic diet and a daily mindfulness meditation practice. I became an activist, and I still divide my time between activism, more spiritual pursuits, and relaxing and/or fun activities. I feel quite lucky that my life has gotten better as I’ve aged. But I still experience anxiety, especially with our current national and world problems.
