C.T. is the author of On Conflict and Consensus, Consensus for Cities, and Food Not Bombs - How to Feed the Hungry and Build Community. He is a father, a political activist, a nonviolent conflict resolution mediator and trainer, dancer, and vegetarian chef.

In 1980, he co-founded the original Food Not Bombs collective in Cambridge, MA and is also a former Cambridge Peace Commissioner. He has traveled extensively in the United States, Europe and Africa giving lectures and teaching workshops on Values-based Consensus. Groups he teaches include government agencies, schools, Indian Tribes, Co-housing groups, professional associations, religious organizations and intentional communities. He is currently in the process of completing his third book titled The Book of Values.

He currently lives in Watkins Glen, NY with the poet, Wren Tuatha, 7 rescue goats, 2 livestock guardian dogs and an indoor cat and dog. Our small community is based on Values-based Consensus, a common treasury, polyamory and veganism.
