Hi everyone! Super grateful to be here! I am curious if anyone has a LIST or an easy resource (like a book or blog post or maybe a Forum post that already exists) of the roles that every large eco-village would have… basically like back in the old days (Little House on the Prairie style) where you wanted to have a town teacher, doctor, blacksmith, veterinarian, carpenter, wagon wheel repair guy (aka mechanic), storekeeper, etc. 🙂 Obviously the list would be adjusted for more modern day life and needs… but rather than start from scratch I’m wondering what already exists out there??? We’re a group of 17 currently living together, with vision of expanding up to 40 or 50max at this location. Thanks!! P.S. Here’s the list I’ve got so far: Kitchen Manager/Chef Baker Food Production/Preservation/Inventory Supply Chain/Property Management Overseeer Permaculture/Gardener Home keeper(s) - for public spaces and private homes Landscape/Yard Maintenance Compost/Worm bins Carpenter Welder Beekeeper Teacher/Child Care Nanny Electrician Plumber Animal Husbandry - chickens, goats, Cow?? Mechanic Seamstress Event/Media Team Coordination IT Greenhouse Thanks for you input! It’s much appreciated! Have a blessed day!! And if you want to know more about our project and can fill one or more of those roles… reach out! Or take a look at [www.earthwakinguniversity.com](http://www.earthwakinguniversity.com) to find out more about what were up to. ---

No machinists? I’d imagine that having one or people who can use a mill or lathe can be helpful. How is the community like right now? ---

What about: mediator for conflicts, mental health/wellness support (could either be someone with fancy degrees or could be a peer support specialist). Trying to think of more that haven’t come up yet. People to take care of animals/livestock? Foragers and hunters,
